2022 Best Sellers

2022 has generally been a good year for office supplies sales. We've seen strong sales in our stationery, facilities and furniture ranges.

Stationery

Within our stationery and office consumable ranges our bestsellers have included batteries, compatible toners, Bic Pens, highlighters, Canon A4 Paper, Sharpie Markers, Q Connect dividers, Lever arch files and the Kensington SmartFit laptop riser.

We sold nearly 8,000 pens and 13 million pieces of A4 paper in 2022!

Facilities

From our facilities and catering ranges, the top sellers have included hygiene products such as hand soaps and paper towels, along with standard everyday products for the canteen to keep everyone going such as tea, coffee and biscuits.

Our customers really love a cuppa. We sold 87,680 teabags in 2022!

Furniture

Within our range of furniture, 2022 was a big year for wooden 4 drawer filing cabinets, ergonomic products such as bamboo sit stand desks and ergonomic desks. The Altino Chair and Senza Chair have all been popular with our customers.

Our furniture offering has grown significantly this year! 

Company developments this year

2022 has been a busy year for Sundry Supplies. From being involved in new products, an office move, employing new team members and upgrading our systems, we have been working hard to ensure that we provide you with an excellent standard of service.

A new home

The Sales and Administration Team moved to new offices in May 2022, based in Dublin 4 again. Our new office is bright and cheerful complete with meeting room and coffee dock and plenty of parking too.

We also welcomed a new member to the Team. Karen Ryan sales1@sundrysupplies.ie joined us in customer services in August.

IT Upgrades

We also updated our IT systems and moved to M365 and updated our Firewalls too.

Plans for next year

We are delighted to be welcoming Evan Hynes to our team starting in mid-January. He is our new marketing intern and although you will not be seeing too much from him, he will be busy working behind the scenes on our webstore bring new and exciting brands and products in 2023.

Again, our focus as a business will be to support our customers with the very best customer service, competitive pricing and efficient deliveries. We will continue to help you work more productively with our range of products to support both office and hybrid working.

Predictions for working practices in 2023

In Person Meetings

The workplace trends we are predicting 2023 include a focus on more in-person meetings. As we step away from Covid restrictions, we are predicting less Teams calls and emphasis on bringing people together in the workplace to meet. The demand for breakout areas for colleagues to catch up informally, and collaboration working areas of varying sizes will also be required.

Continuation of Hybrid Working

We can see that the focus will remain on lifestyle work/life balance – with many businesses offering 3 office working days and 2 from home. This trend for Hybrid working is set to continue and we will be providing products that support that style of working.

Eco-Friendly Supplies

We are also seeing more of an emphasis on green products as climate change and working towards zero carbon will continue to be an aim for businesses. These products will include sustainable cleaning products, eco-friendly stationery, recycled paper.

Ergonomic Solutions

We have seen a rise in the requirement for ergonomic solutions which again is all wrapped up with the trend for general Workplace Wellness.

New products coming in 2023

A range of exciting new products to hit the website in the new year.

Workwear

We will be launching an exciting new range of workwear and uniform products in the new year to suit a range of workplaces. This will include a different range of sectors, providing products such as high vis, corporate workwear, sector specific workwear and much more.

Ergonomics

We have a range of specialist suppliers and look forward to offering you new ergonomic products coming to help make life more practical, comfortable and create better aesthetics too. These sustainable monitor risers from Bakker Elkhuizen are just one of the products we look forward to launching.

#EOL Furniture

We will be promoting a range of stylish and practical office furniture from French manufacture EOL who specialise in office fitouts that are fully tailored to the customer. This funky new Ping Multipurpose Meeting Table is sure to add more fun to breaktimes, keeping everyone active!

Soft Seating

We are looking forward to promoting a new range of soft seating for the workplace, suitable for breakout areas, reception areas and for casual meetings. The Jude range of casual seating includes comfortable fabric-covered chairs in a range of colour options. The Groove modular seating offers flexible and colourful breakout area seating and the Encore high-backed seating provides a level of privacy for meetings

Predictions for 2023 bestsellers

Workplace Wellness

We hope to see an increase in the requirement for sit-stand desks and other ergonomic accessories, such as monitor arms, laptop risers, separate keyboards, ergonomic mice and supportive office chairs.

Sustainability

We hope businesses will choose more eco-friendly cleaning products into next year and focus on eco stationery and recycled paper products.

Budget Items

As businesses tighten their belts, we predict the own brand products from Q Connect and 5 Star selling well in 2023.

Working from home essentials

The trend for employees working from home at least some of the week looks set to continue. We predict items such as webcams, ergonomic accessories for the home, desks and chairs continuing to be popular.

Reminder of our Christmas Opening Hours

We are closing for the Christmas break on 22nd December at 5pm and re-opening on 3rd January at 9am. Orders placed between these dates will not be delivered until the 4th or 5th of January 2023. Our last delivery date for furniture is Monday 19th December and furniture deliveries will resume from 9th January.
