We’re making it easier than ever to choose eco products

Here at Sundry Supplies, we’re always looking for new ways to promote our products. One ever-expanding range is within our eco-friendly and recycled ranges.

Promoting sustainable products

Within our Environmental Policy, we make it clear that we will always offer you an eco-friendly alternative product if the product you currently buy does not fit the eco criteria. You may think that purchasing an eco-friendly product is more expensive than your current choice, but in many cases, eco products are comparable in specifications and price tag.

Eco product comparison examples

In many cases eco products can actually be cheaper than even the budget alternative.

For example at the time of writing the Durable Magazine Rack ECO black was priced at €4.29 exc VAT. The alternative Q Connect Magazine Rack was €8.31 exc VAT.*

Another example is the Greenspeed Flo Hand Wash Neutral (500ml). This was priced at €5.45 excl VAT. The Carex Liquid Hand Soap (500ml) alternative was priced at €6.11.**

You may have already noticed that our eco friendly products have been given a flag or a recycled symbol like this:

We have now made a development to make these green credentials even clearer to you. Any product that has eco credentials has now been given a vibrant flag like this:

This is to help you make an easier choice and highlight our growing range of eco products more clearly.

What eco criteria do we follow?

To qualify for being in our eco range the products must tick these boxes:

• Fairtrade Certified
• At least 50% recycled content
• 100% Biodegradable
• Made from organic content eg bamboo or CPLA (Vegware)

Here are a few of our eco-friendly favourites this month

Pukka Pad Recycled Ruled Wirebound Notebook A5

This classic notebook is now available as a recycled Jotta. Made from 100% recycled 80gsm paper with perforated pages and wirebound so it lies flat.

Rapesco Eco Half Strip Stapler

This stapler contains metal workings with 100% recycled ABS casing with a classic design and easy top loading mechanism.

Envirowipe Antibacterial Cleaning Cloths (Pk25)

These antibacterial cleaning cloths are made from 100% natural fibre and are 100% compostable. The open cellular structure can absorb up to 10 times its own weight and they are washable. Available in several colours.

Caterpack Enviro Wooden Cutlery (Pk100)

These disposable wooden forks, knives and spoons are made from lightweight natural wood without any added coatings. They are fully compostable and biodegradable supporting FSC sources.

New Guardian C5 Envelope Pocket Self Seal Manilla Envelopes (Pk500)

Lightweight, self-seal envelopes that are strong and durable for your A5 documents.

Shield Compostable Disposable Gloves Medium (Pk200)

Disposable Latex-free gloves that are compostable, they are also powder-free to reduce allergies and dust contamination. Suitable for all types of food.
